How do I control the system?

How do I switch between the original system and the new MMI system?

On your Audi headunit hold the “MENU” / "BACK" / "INFO" Button to flick between the new MMI menu and the original Audi system.

Will this void my warranty?

On a general note, no, this shouldn't void your warranty as all of our MMI systems are fully reversible meaning you can install and uninstall our products as you wish, without removing, replacing or damaging any of your original vehicle’s components, however there are exceptions on certain cars in which the original manufacturer warranty seals on the radio head unit itself have to be opened to install a PCB poard component. If you really want to make sure, we always advise checking with your vehicle's warranty provider

Can I install this myself?

Yes, you have the option to install this yourself by all means, however we also offer a fitting service, you can take it to one of our approved third party dealer locations around the UK.

Does this need any coding done to it after it’s installed?

No, it doesn’t require any coding at all, our MMI module is designed to be completely plug and play.

PLEASE NOTE: only iPhone’s are compatible with Apple CarPlay and only Android phones are compatible with Android Auto

IMPORTANT

Audi Multimedia must have Aux or Ami option in source for sound output.

This retrofit will not require that you remove OR replace your original screen, and this software integration will work alongside your current Audi system, meaning you can still access all your original menus, service history etc.

BY THE WAY: It's fine If you don't have bluetooth and/or bluetooth music within your original Audi system that’s absolutely no problem, even without these features in your original system, this retrofit will continue to work flawlessly.

Excellent bit of kit - well worth it

Brilliant bit kit to bring your sound system up to todays standards, excellent price and not too much of a job to fit yourself if your ok with stuff like that. Pretty easy really only thing I struggled with was fitting the head unit back in with the big connector block sat behind it - you really need to try and stuff it into a gap so radio will push back in flush. System works very well, took me a while to work out what settings needed changing. Couldn’t get the parking sensors screen to work at first but once you change the option in the menu it works great (change to p-active) and sensor screen pops on when you start reversing or press the button. The only downside I have found is because me and my wife both drive the car it doesn’t switch between devices it tries to connect to the last device connected. I just leave hers connected wirelessly and I just plug in when I use it, saves messing about disconnecting one to connect another and then back again.

Carplay for Audi A6 with Rmc

Easy transaction and fast delivery. Carplay works perfectly. I had some trouble to put the headunit back due to quadlock as I haven't done anything like that before. Support was very helpful. Better to select there installation service as my brother used it. Installers are very professional.
